 Kabir Sahib himself has given evidence-
 Na Mera janm na garbh basera, baalak ban dikhlaaya।
Kashi Nagar jal Kamal par dera, tahaan julaahe ne paaya।।

Maat pita mere kachu naahin, na mere Ghar daasi।
Julhe ka sut aan kahaaya, jagat kare Meri hansi।।
